Certified Medical Assistant

Concinnity Health is seeking a part-time Certified/ Registered Medical Assistant to join our growing primary care practice. We are a new facility located in Rolesville, NC and looking for the right dedicated and compassionate individual to come grow with us. The right person for this position will perform clinical as well as office duties to support the need of the practice.

The role of the Medical Assistant is to provide quality patient care to all internal and external patients/clients of the clinic. In addition to performing administrative and clinical tasks, the Medical Assistant is also responsible for building rapport with patients from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Experience:

• 1 year minimum (Preferred in Primary Care or Urgent Care setting)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)

Responsibilities:

• Room patients by completing/updating medical histories, recording vital signs, explaining treatment, and preparing them for their examination.
• Perform basic laboratory testing.
• Assist provider during examination and procedures as needed.
• Greet patients, answer phones, & schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient medical records.
• Some billing, bookkeeping and other clerical/administrative tasks.
• Perform other clinical functions as delegated.

Other Skills:

• Good customer service skills.
• Able to follow and understand oral and written instructions.

• Knowledgeable of sterile techniques and special procedures that are applicable to work performed.

• Ability to effectively administer treatment to patients following infection control procedures and all safety protocols.

• Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting.

• Ability to document and communicate pertinent information.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and able to use electronic medical records systems.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
